Copilot often works inside formatted environments, so copied text can bring along list markers, indentation, spacing, line breaks, and document-style structure. That can be useful in Word but messy in Gmail, forms, CRM notes, or plain document drafts.
For email, keep the message readable and direct. Remove unnecessary bullets, repeated headings, odd line breaks, and extra spacing with Clean Text for Outlook, Clean Text for Gmail, or Clean Email Formatting.
For Word and Docs, remove pasted formatting first, then check paragraph breaks. Use Remove Formatting from Text, Fix Copy Paste from Word, and Remove AI Formatting from Word and Google Docs.
Copy from Copilot, clean the text in a neutral tool, review the result, and paste once into the final destination. This prevents multiple apps from layering formatting on top of the same draft.
Copy the Copilot draft into a cleanup tool, remove formatting, bullets, line breaks, and extra spaces, then paste the cleaned text into the email draft.
Convert the output to plain text, keep useful paragraph breaks, and remove copied formatting before pasting into Word or Google Docs.
Copilot output can carry Microsoft app formatting, lists, indentation, and line breaks that do not paste cleanly into every destination.
